At GameDev Australia, we are committed to ensuring your satisfaction with our services. This Refund Policy outlines the conditions under which we provide refunds for our services and digital products.
Please read this policy carefully before purchasing any services or products from us. By making a purchase, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Refund Policy.
1. Satisfaction Guarantee
GameDev Australia offers a 100% satisfaction guarantee on all our services. If you're not completely satisfied with the quality of our services, we will provide a refund or credit at our discretion.
This guarantee applies to both one-time purchases and subscription services.
2. Eligibility for Refunds
You may be eligible for a refund in the following circumstances:
- Quality Issues: Services that fail to meet reasonable quality standards or do not function as described
- Missing Deliverables: Items or components that were charged but not delivered as part of a service package
- Incorrect Services: Services that were delivered but different from what you ordered
- Late Delivery: Deliveries that arrive significantly outside the scheduled delivery window without prior notice or agreement
- General Dissatisfaction: If you are unhappy with a service for any reasonable cause
3. Refund Request Timeframe
To be eligible for a refund, you must notify us of the issue within:
- 14 days of delivery for quality issues, missing items, or incorrect services
- 48 hours of the scheduled delivery time for late deliveries
We strongly recommend that you review all deliverables as soon as possible after delivery to ensure timely reporting of any issues.
4. How to Request a Refund
Refund Request Process:

- Provide Order Details: Include your order number, the services you're unsatisfied with, and the reason for your dissatisfaction.
- Documentation: If possible, provide evidence of the issue (screenshots, examples, etc.) to help us address the problem effectively.
- Review: Our customer service team will review your request and may ask for additional information if needed.
- Resolution: We will process your refund or offer an appropriate solution within 5-7 business days of receiving your request.
5. Refund Methods
Refunds will be issued using the same payment method used for the original purchase. Processing times may vary depending on your payment provider:
- Credit/Debit Cards: 5-10 business days
- PayPal: 3-5 business days
- Bank Transfers: 5-7 business days
In some cases, we may offer service credits instead of monetary refunds, particularly for partial refunds or when you wish to use our services again in the future.
6. Non-Refundable Items and Services
The following items and services are generally non-refundable:
- Custom Development Services: Once development work has begun on custom projects specifically tailored to your requirements
- Digital Products: Downloads of digital assets, templates, or resources that have already been downloaded
- Consultation Services: After consultation sessions have been conducted
- Subscription Services: Pro-rated fees for time periods where services were used
However, even for these items, we will consider refund requests on a case-by-case basis if there are significant quality issues or if the services fail to meet the described specifications.
7. Subscription Cancellation
For subscription-based services:
- You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting customer service
- Cancellations will take effect at the end of your current billing period
- No refunds will be provided for the current billing period unless there are service quality issues
- You will retain access to the subscription services until the end of your paid billing period
8. Project Cancellation
For project-based services that are canceled before completion:
- Client-Initiated Cancellation: If you cancel a project before completion, payment will be due for all work completed up to the cancellation date based on the percentage of project completion or hourly rates as specified in your service agreement
- GameDev Australia-Initiated Cancellation: If we cancel a project due to unforeseen circumstances, you will receive a full refund for any portion of the project not yet delivered, or we may offer to complete the project at a later date
9. Special Circumstances
We recognize that special circumstances may arise that are not covered by this policy. In such cases, please contact our customer service team, and we will work with you to find a fair and reasonable solution.
We may consider exceptions to our standard refund policy in cases of:
- Emergency situations or unforeseen events
- Technical issues on our end that significantly impacted service delivery
- Misunderstandings about service specifications that were not clearly communicated
10. Consumer Rights
This Refund Policy does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer. If you are located in Australia, you have rights under the Australian Consumer Law, which provides statutory guarantees that cannot be excluded.
Nothing in this policy is intended to limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable consumer protection legislation.

If you are dissatisfied with our decision regarding your refund request, please contact our customer service team to escalate your concern. We aim to resolve all disputes amicably and fairly.
If we cannot resolve your issue directly, you may be entitled to pursue resolution through external dispute resolution services or legal remedies available in your jurisdiction.

The revised policy will apply to all purchases made after the effective date of the revised policy. For purchases made before the effective date, the previous policy will apply.
